Description2SOMNOtouch™ RESP – Polygraphy DeviceFEATURESSmall Compact Robust Design – Same footprint as a credit card allowing unparalleled comfort. Only 64g! Ideal for both adult & pediatric applicationsTouch Screen Display – Allows PC independent set-up & signal quality check at the patient’s bedsideLow Running Costs – Reusable sensors and minimal disposables. Built in Li-Ion rechargable batteryIntelligent Connect – Automatic sensor recognition – making montages a thing of the pastCuffless Continuous Blood Pressure Measurement A new era in measuring blood pressure – without disturbing sleep (subject to FDA approval)POLYGRAPHY WITH THE SIZE OF A CREDIT CARDThe SOMNOtouch™ RESP combines the highest comfort and the best technology in an extremely small device. Even though it’s hardly larger than a credit card, real-time data is displayed on the high-resolution touch screen. Extremely light weight, only 64g including the battery, yet very powerful.Miniaturized PolygraphIntegrated Sensors:Pressure (Flow & Snore)Effort (Thorax / Abdomen)SpO2, Pulse rateBody positionMovement (Sleep / Wake Determination)CPAP/BiPAP – PressureUp to 16 additional channels can be connected via the two open auxiliary connectors, e.g. PLM, ECG, EEG, EOG, EMG.Online signal check on a tablet, smartphone or PCTransfers the measured data to your tablet, PC or smart phone for instant signal check – right at the patient’s bedside or mobile as a screenshot. Transfer times and periods can be programmed individually.Docking Station for simplified handlingThe docking station charges the Li-Ion battery of the SOMNOtouch ™ RESP and regularly loads free firmware updates. So your SOMNOtouch ™ RESP is always up to date. The virtual docking station on the PC displays the current status of the device.Intelligent Connect™With the innovative Intelligent Connect™ technology all slots can be used for every sensor, the device automatically detects, which sensor has been connected to it. Therefore patients can not confuse any sensors when they apply the device themselves. Sleep technicians on the other hand do not have to pre-chose a montage.Data analysis and reportComputer aided event detection and immediate report printoutAdditional respiratory analysis by effort-based phase angle analysisStandard or user defined reportsPlease visit our dedicated software page for more information.Optional Sensors and AnalysisSimplified, ambulatory sleep scoring with combi electrode (1 EEG, 2 EOG, ambient light)Sleep scoring according to AASM (4 EEG, 2 EOG, 1 EMG)PLM detectionBlood pressure determination (via Pulse Transit Time, PTT) Optional Continuous Blood Pressure Measurement with every heart beatThe Blood Pressure measurement function is not approved by the FDA and should only be used for research purposes.Covers all max. and min. values, never miss an event (real max and min)Detection of BP fluctuations during night timeDetection of BP base line shift during REM stageNo patient disturbance during the day or nightMinimized deviation caused by body position changesFits all sizes, no cuff size selection or disinfection requiredCorrelation with all sleep eventsHow does SOMNOtouch™ RESP – POLYGRAPH DEVICE work?SOMNOmedics uses an innovative patented algorithm to measure blood pressure via the Pulse Transit Time (PTT). The PTT is the time required for the pulse wave to propagate along the vessel wall between two defined points. In the case of the SOMNOtouch™ RESP – from the left ventricle of the heart (defined by the ‘R’ peak of the ECG) – to the detection of the pulse wave at the finger tip (detected by the plethysmograph).Taking a one point calibration at the beginning of the sleep study allows us to ‘set’ the software‘s algorithm – and measure blood pressure continuously throughout the measurement. Because every single pulse wave is detected, a continuous “Beat-to-Beat”- recording and analysis is possible. Reduce artifacts and increase the number of reliable data points – all in a continuous, non-invasive and non-reactive way.
